Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur is one of the world’s largest private residences and a magnificent symbol of Rajasthan’s royal heritage. Built between 1928 and 1943, the palace was commissioned by Maharaja Umaid Singh to provide employment during a severe famine. Designed by British architect Henry Lanchester, it showcases a stunning blend of Indo-Saracenic and Art Deco architectural styles.

Constructed with golden-yellow Chittar sandstone, the palace stands on Chittar Hill overlooking the Blue City of Jodhpur. Today, Umaid Bhawan Palace is divided into three parts: a royal residence, a luxury heritage hotel, and a museum displaying vintage cars, royal artifacts, and photographs. It represents grandeur, history, and timeless elegance.
